After three busy, hustle-bustle, tiring days at the Museum of Ice cream, Gardens by the Bay, Universal Studios, Singapore zoo and Merlion Park, we now wanted some leisure time. What could be a better place other than the luxurious, “Shangrila’s Rasa Sentosa Resorts and Spa“? So we checked in our dream stay at the Resort.
Though the resort’s check-in time was 3 p.m., they gave us early check-in on request. The management and staff were very humble and tried their best to help us in any possible way. Our room was the best room we experienced up till now. It was huge and luxurious with a personal jacuzzi, garden, a big bathtub, guest room, guest bathroom and all the amenities that a person requires for a holiday stay. The best toiletries, Complimentary fruits, cookies, wine( though we don’t drink), bath robes, slippers and whatnot? They took care of minor details, minor needs that a guest requires and all luxurious.
Special arrangements were done for the kids. Their special cute toiletries, kids’ activity sheets, cute little slippers, frog toys, etc. It was made more special for us, as we were celebrating our son’s 10th birthday. A complimentary cake for him and special birthday decoration was made in the room. He was so happy and surprised to see that when he entered the room. Also, the sofa in the guest room was converted into a comfortable double bed at night for the kids. That way we got our privacy in our own bedroom, with kids sleeping safely right in front of us in the other room.
The personal open-roof jacuzzi in the garden was another luxury. Warm water with bubbles massaging and light music was just a perfect bath. After tiring days, we just used to jump in our relaxing jacuzzi. The bathtub in the bathroom was no less relaxing. Accompanied by the foam and bath salts, it was equal fun.
Unlimited fun at the water activities of the resort is admirable. May it be the slides and water sprinklers and bucket splash at the waterpark or fun activities at the swimming pool or adventurous water activities on the Resort’s personal beach, including kayaking, stand-up paddling and pedal boating, all of them are ultimate fun. There were lots of beach games to play. Enjoying the beachside sea water, and just laying on the beach and making sand castles is another fun in itself.
The Toot’s club for kids was also amazing. We left kids there for 2 hours daily and meanwhile enjoyed our personal time. The club organised different activities each day, so the kids were very happy there. They made friends and also the staff there was so friendly, kids felt at home there. Seeing kids happy, feels so good. The stay at the resort felt worth it.
The location of the resort is also so good, that all the fun activities of Sentosa Island like zip lining, bungee jumping, sky luge ride, Madame Tussaud, 4D adventure, segway, cycling, Silosa beach, Siloso Fort are very close to the resort. You can go by walk or enjoy the free shuttle bus rides which run there every 15 mins. Just roaming around Sentosa island is so much fun.
Breakfast at the resort was yummy. There were so many options, khaate khaate, pet bhar jaata tha, man nahi bharta tha, especially the desserts. The dinner that we ordered in our room was also so good. The best we liked about it, was its presentation. They served it to us on an oven-fit table. Jabh man kare khane ka, bas served garam garam plates bahar nikalo, aur mast khao. The biryani with panner makhni combination that we ordered was superb.
This resort is highly recommended for your stay if you travel to Singapore. We enjoyed every minute of the stay at Shangrila’s Rasa Sentosa Resort and Spa. We look forward to one more stay at this heavenly place.
